Festival Info

Raahen Rantajatsit a.k.a Raahe Jazz on the Beach Festival is an intimate annual top-notch contemporary jazz festival with gorgeous white night sunsets. The 36th Raahen Rantajatsit will be held 24th – 26th July 2025.

The non-profit festival is organized by Rajatsi, a local jazz association, and it is made possible by volunteers. The main sponsors are the City of Raahe and Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture.

Getting here

Raahe is an idyllic, small old wooden seaside town located on the coast of Northern Ostrobothnia region of Finland. The Raahe railway station is located in Vihanti, 36 km from the centre of the town. Raahe is 75km south of Oulu and 120km north of Kokkola. Oulu airport is located 70 km north of Raahe.

Venues

The main concerts are divided between venues close to each other. In the early evening there is outdoor concerts in the inner yards of the wooden Old Town – at Langin Kauppahuone and at Raahe Theatre. Later in the evening there is a concert at the open air stage of cafe Ruiskuhuone by the sea.

Rajatsi

Rajatsi is a non-profit jazz association with a mission to enable, improve and promote jazz culture and jazz enthusiasism in the Raahe area in northern Finland. Rajatsi is a member of Finnish Jazz Federation and Europe Jazz Network. Rajatsi is founded in 1984 and Rajatsi has organized Raahen Rantajatsit aka Jazz on the Beach jazz festivals since 1989. Rajatsi also organizes concerts and club-events around the year. Became a member and take part in our activities!
